Dr John Lever
John Lever, Manchester Metropolitan University, is the co-organiser of the conference. He is a joint editor of the recent edited collection Towards an Eliasian Understanding of Food in the 21st Century (2024) in the Palgrave Studies on Norbert Elias Series.
Dr Wai Lau
Wai Lau, University of Manchester, is the co-organiser of the conference. Also known as Leon, he is the Managing Editor of Figurations and is the author of On the Process of Civilisation in Japan (2022) in the Palgrave Studies on Norbert Elias Series, which won the Norbert Elias Book Prize in 2023 awarded by the Norbert Elias Foundation.
